Home is where the heart is, and my heart is back in the AMAZING city of Chicago. It was a great experience living out east. I would not take back any second of it, as the sights, sounds and experiences are things that are truly unique to NYC. The time away was so beneficial and eye-opening. I can't wait to visit often since I'll already know my way around.
It is bittersweet being back, but life is very unpredictable and we never know what it is going to serve up. It feels good to be back home and the hubby and I know that this is where we belong.
Now to pay homage to an oldie, but goodie, the below is very reflective of one of the GREATEST cities around. :) Not that I'm biased or anything.

Nice Kicks...
I'm surely a girly girl, but the inner tomboy in me is in LOVE with this. I can appreciate nice kicks. I guess that is due to growing up with a ton of boys in the family :)

The Light...
Life is full of twists and turns, and just when you feel like you're lost in the dark... there is always light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to go towards it. I'm going, are you coming with me?
Locks of Love
For those that know me, they know that a curling iron is like an appendage of my body. I've perfected using it to create a look on my own locks in a matter of minutes. I never travel without it. There are many though, that are deathly scared at the sight of a curling iron, let alone being left with one and not have a clue on how to use it. Thankfully today, Refinery29 has posted a quick "how-to" video that anyone can do. Its a beginners guide on getting an easy loose curl look for everyday. Take a look:

New Beginnings
I can't believe that its been just over a month of living in marital bliss. I cannot help but constantly look back at the photos and relive the memories. The hubby and I had the pleasure of working with some of the BEST vendors and also took great pride in much of the DIY work we did as well. I have to say that planning the wedding in Chicago was not so easy while living in the East Coast. Nevertheless...everything could not have turned out better! Our choice to have our ceremony at St. Lambert Parish & reception at the Intercontinental O'Hare was nothing but absolute perfection for us. Here are a few teaser images until we get the final product.

I Will...
So I've been consistently inconsistent with updating the blog as often as I would like. Life has a funny way of working itself out that way. Things have been busy...but in a good way. The career has taken off & personal life couldn't be better! With that said, I have to agree that 2010 was not such a bad year, but 2011 is shaping up to be spectacular! I am able to see family and friends so much more & with planning the upcoming Wedding, I am having the time of my life! Thanks are much due to the love of my life :)
