It is a great day for some electro beats! There is just something about that takes you away and gives you energy. Even though it is still winter, watching and listening to this gets me excited for all of the upcoming concerts and festivals lined up for 2012. There are just so many options. Should I go to Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, Lollapalooza, Coachella, Electric Zoo? There are just so many out there, its hard to decide. In the meantime, I am just going to put my headphones back on and continue jamming. Have a great day!

Color Block Inspired
I was looking around for ideas to inspire me for new nail art. I wanted something that would allow me to experiment with some new techniques and I came across the printed maxi dress below. I love when fashion patterns can translate across clothing boundaries. Hence came the design below.
Step 1: I began with Zoya (great professional vegan nail polish) in Jo.
Step 2: I cut strips of masking tape (painters tape or masking tape work too) and created the design on my nails.
Step 3: Fill in with desired colors.
Step 4: Carefully peel off tape to reveal the new FAB design.
Step 5: Finish with you favorite top coat.

Mocha Mani Anyone?
I had a little fun this week trying out a new technique. Considering it was my first attempt at it, it wasn't too bad. All you need are your favorite colors, some tape and scrap booking decorative scissors.
Step 1: Apply base coat followed by 1st color
Step 2: Let the color dry completely. This is EXTREMELY important for the next step.
Step 3: Use the scissors to cut the tape and create the unique design. Then apply the tape over your nail where desired.
Step 4: Paint a layer of the 2nd color over the nail and let dry for a few minutes.
Step 5: Carefully peel away the layer of tape and you will see the layered look.
Step 6: Apply the top coat and enjoy your nail art.
Here is my finished product. I will definitely be attempting this again in hopes of a perfected look.

DIY
Happy New Year ALL! I can say that 2012 has started off with a BANG and I feel that there is so much more good to come.
I've really been getting into all sorts of new projects lately. Many of them involve the do-it-yourself projects. A few of them are nail art & jewelry design. Here are a few of my latest creations. I will be updating this with my latest creations & let you know where you can get them.
