Dipped in Glitter

As you've already seen, I am mildly obsessed with nail art and am truly in love with this latest color combination. The colors of blush and gold have been a favorite for quite some time now. It is such a fun combination that is not only classic, but has a little bit of sass. I love to incorporate this palette into the wardrobe as well. With spring coming up, I feel that a blush colored basics such as a blazer, lace tank or platform peep toes are a MUST.

I hope you like this latest creation. The collage below the nail art is some inspiration courtesy of parletostyle.com.

Feel the Love

In honor of Valentine's Day right around the corner, I've put together a collage of a few of my favorite finds that bring out the luxe, loves and delicious.  I agree that not everyone celebrates what has become more of a "Hallmark" holiday, but regardless, why not treat yourself.  You DO love yourself don't you?  What is on your Love/Lust Lists?

Crazy About Crackle

I am still liking the crackle effect. I feel that if you really want the look to stand out, it all depends on the layering that you use. Playing around with color combinations and textures is key. Below I used a magenta glitter as my base color. I then layered on the basic black crackle color. I feel that it really makes the layers POP and gives the look added texture.

The key to making this look work is that you need to make sure that your base color is completely dry before applying the crackle effect layer.

Water Marble Nails

I'm loving the water marble effect lately.  There are so many beautiful color combinations and designs that you can play with.  This was my first attempt.  I tried to play with the different designs that you can create.  This is why there isn't a full uniform look to the nails.  I wanted them each to be unique.

To begin, you will need your favorite nail colors, tape (to protect your skin and make for easier clean up), toothpicks and a small cup filled with water. Below is a little collage of the inspiration, the tools I used and a few pictures of the end result.

Below I've also attached a tutorial from cutepolish, that I used to help me achieve the results.  Try it out and let me see your creation.
